A&WMA Virtual Conference Series – Wildfires: Air Quality, Health Effects, and Smoke Management Progress / April 14, 2021: Smoke Exposures in the 2020 Western Wildfire Season

In the last five years, wildfires have devastated cities and caused loss of life, lasting health effects, and major property damage for many areas in Western North America. While we may not be able to prevent the disaster, we can build on the recent experience of others directly affected to protect our health and communities.

This conference will take an encompassing look at the air quality and public health impacts from wildfires by bringing together experts in multiple disciplines to share information and proposed solutions to mitigate smoke effects. This is a unique opportunity for those dealing with wildfire effects to learn from experts and professionals with recent experience.
